We had the pleasure to photograph the Melbourne based menswear brand MNDATORY. MNDATORY creates contemporary classic silhouettes meant to complete a mans wardrobe.
Classic menswear has always been born of design in its purest sense – designed not for fashion or trend, but for function. For this reason, many historical garments still form much of today’s typical modern wardrobe. Iconic garments like the Bomber Jacket, whether the first of its kind, or just another trying to perfect the design that came before it, these items have formed what are now considered menswear standards. These classic styles, often updated and reinterpreted, are by and large reiterations of well known themes. So whilst the originals have set a benchmark for all subsequent versions of their kind, the focus at MNDATORY is to innovate on the recognisable.
